I made this for my boy for Christmas. It has 6 10"x10" Lego plates, so it is a pretty good sized work surface. It is made from plywood with maple trim.
Joe, my grandfather made me a storage container with a full size work surface about 22" square for a slide in cover. The bins held all the loose blocks. Pat
Great idea. My boys are always building some lego city that can not be moved without it looking like an earthquake hit it. I think I may steal this idea.
That is great. Im 42 and still play with legos. I have loved legos since I was a kid. I had a whole town set up on a plywood sheet when I was younger. All the kids would come over and want to play with my them.
Nice job, I bet your Son has logged many hours in building stuctures. How did you attach the lego plates? I am making 2 lego tables with the 4×6'' plates and I got construction adhesive to trowel on to attach the plates… but now am having 2nd thoughts on if this would be the right application.
