Project Information

As we dismantled our living room and put the TV into the wall, making room for our fireplace, I was given the opportunity of putting the TV stand into our kitchen to use as an island of sorts.

When Rick and I first made the "table", I really wanted to put it into the kitchen but the kitchen wasn't a priority - the TV was :)

The table is made out of an old waterbed headboard and frame and some 4×4 pieces we had left over from some other project.

It served its purpose well holding the TV and now - well, I'm thrilled to have it in the kitchen. It is the perfect height for me and provides two shelves to hold my cast iron cookware and a couple other large appliances.

(see my last comments on my blog discussion for a little laugh about the picture)

believe it or not, I enjoy doing dishes.. the sound of the water running . the warm soft suds and the view out the kithing window. A simple job that I can do well is always something I enjoyed.

Nice Tv stand. When I saw the pic I thought you might have miss named it :) it looked like a kitchen work station.. then I read.

I wouldn't mind doing dishes if they didn't just stack up again in a few hours!

Thanks everyone for taking a peek and leaving such nice comments :)
And now, I'm going to go sit by my fire again.
