Project Information
When I'm not working with my dunage wood I also turn bowls and peppermills. I'll post my peppermill later. The first two and last two picturs are from a flowering cherry tree that was removed because it died. It is so knurled and knarly that the inside grain is spectular. I tried a natural edged aspect and fell in love with the style. The third shot is cocobolo from Rockler (even scroungers like me have to buy wood once in a while). The fourth is black walnut that I inlaid some garapa and brazilian cherry for a design. Next posting will be some peppermills. My daughter works for the State Department and gives my bowls and peppermill out as gifts to folks she works with when she is aborad so I have bowls and peppermills all over the world. The latest was Pakistan.
