Project Information
I did this pen about a month ago, and just thought I would share with some folks on here… I don't have the best camera or a photo tent…but I do have some GREAT Birdseye maple I got from Barlow in the background….can't give that guy enough props on the great stuff he sent me. Anyhow, it is Arizona Turquoise with Gold webbing, in a Baron Gold Titanium kit. Somewhat similar to a Jr. Gentleman's kit but just different enough to make it its own.
To answer Hacksaw007's question:
Tru-Stone or True Stone is made from a combination of crushed semi-precious stones, combined with other natural pigments and materials which then are subjected to tremendous heat and pressure. The result is Tru-stone which is extremely hard, but is still workable with a lathe and normal tools. It has the look of stone, and is sometimes difficult to distinguish from real stones. results usually are awesome…and have can be highly polished almost as if it were real stone.
