Thought you might like to see the process of carving angels in one picture.
These are all at different stages of carving from start to finish.
From right to left -
4. outline of angel drawn on block
3. Used a V chisel to mark out lines to cut in and start the rounding process
2.The majority roughly carved
1. Finished. Light wash of paint and stain then sealed

Neat and informative.

Tried carving once of a herd of elephants… finished up with 4 figurines looking identical to your right hand treasure,

Thanks Teresa. I tried caving a bluejay once and it was unrecognizable as a bird!!
