Project Information
I finally got fed up with my store bought base for my Jet jointer. Only two of the casters on it rotate requiring four point turns to get around my small shop.
I salvaged the materials for this base from an older planer stand I had made but no longer used. It's a construction lumber frame with 3/4 ply on the bottom to hold the jointer. The casters are mounted using door hinges and springs hold the catch to keep the casters extended when moving the jointer.
It's not the prettiest thing I've made but it works well.
