Thanks,

I wish I could claim ownership of the idea of using a cartridge casing for a ferule but I stole that from a youtube video. I think its a neat touch

That is one fine looking awl. The knob looks like it is just the right size to get a good grip without causing hand cramps.

I love it. That looks like a 45 casing for the ferrule. That is a great idea. May I borrow it?

Jim,

Its a cut down .308 Norma Magnum casing. the idea is not mine I borrowed it from a Youtube video.

I have no idea. Is some stuff I got from work that was over with our torch. I assume some sort of brazing rod. What I know is that it is steel and it is hard as hell.

The steel is just some scrap we had over by my cutting torch at work. All I know is it is steel of some sort and very very hard. I have no idea what it is.

The brass for the ferrule is a rifle cartridge casing cut down. An idea i stole from a YouTube video
