Project Information
I had this design in my head for quite some time and I new that I had to have side tables so you can have a place for your plate and a beverage. and I must say those side tables (picnic butler) get a lot of use. Every BBQ I have, it's the favorite place to eat.
I originally made this for my wife and her mom to have a place to sit out in the back yard together and watch the humming birds. and also to enter it in the Summer 2009 "Garden Bench" contest, But never got it entered. But knowing how useful those small tables had been the last three years I knew the "personal picnic butler" contest was the contest to enter it in.
Over all length = 7'8"
Bench (between arm rest) = 4'2"
Height = 6'
I put a water sealant on it. Any advice on any other finish would be welcomed. *

- Made of Redwood, Alaskan White Cedar with just a touch of Greene and Greene style. I didn't have enough redwood or Alaskan White Cedar so I combined them. I also wanted to put more Greene & Greene style into it but had no time.
