Julian, that looks like some extremely intricate assembly work. I guarantee I would not be up to the challenge. I look forward to you showing us your final result. I'm certain it will be awesome.

Today I finished turning both halves and then glued them together. After the glue dried I finished turning the final shape and cleaned up the glue joint on the inside.

Next step will be to layout the pattern for the wood burning design.

Next step will be to layout the pattern for the wood burning design.
After burning in the design I sanding those areas with 220 grit paper to clean it up. Then I started coloring with the ink markers. Completed the top half in about an hour.

This will be the last entry for this blog. Today I applied some sealer; inside and out.
Next steps will be to sand with 400 grit and spray a satin finish.
