Project Information

In my previous project post [link] I made a hand drill ala Izzy Swan to use at work when I need to drill a hole in new tuning pegs. This time I made a little kit box to hold the drill and some extra drills plus a few screwdriver bits. I don't expect to need this very often, so keeping it in a box seemed the way to go.

The sides are of drawer wood. One piece looks to have more grain to it, so I put it in the front. The top is recycled plywood from a drawer bottom and the bottom is another piece of drawer wood. Top and bottom are fitted into rabbets. The dividers inside are just glued in and keep the odd bits from mixing around.

The finish is boiled linseed oil inside and out.

A few extra shots in the workshop.

What!? No 'mandatory glue up shot'? Kidding ;-)
That will keep all things drilling handy. Thanks for sharing, Dave.

I got to use it on Friday fitting my first violin peg from scratch. The woodwind repair tech loved it.
