Project Information

Not sure if this the right place to post this project, but I haven't put anything here in and wanted to get back into the game!

Here's a treehouse I built in Argyle, NY this summer with some good friends. It was a great build, and has weathered well. The local saw mill we used, Drumm's Saw Mill in Schuylerville, NY is really fantastic and provided the rough cut lumber that really helped nail the rustic look. Finished dimensions are 12×16 including the front overhang with a wrap-around, funky-shaped porch. The average height off the ground is ~12'. There's a video of the structure Deek from Tiny House Builders made available here.

Now that looks like a fun place to be. All I'd add is a good stock of books, adult beverages, and a zip line.

That's awesome!! Looks like a fun hangout. Are those sliding doors airtight when closed?

Thanks! Snipes, no, they're not particularly air tight when closed. The wood burning stove inside does help keep the loft warm in the winter though ;-)

That looks like a really fun hangout - the kind of place one would build if their pent-up desire for a tree house was denied throughout childhood. BRB - gotta go look at the trees in my back yard. ;)
