Project Information

A local Fine Arts Center was remodeling their lobby and I salvaged some door jambs. The Center was originally a high school and has been repurposed as an Arts Education Center and the home of a Community Theatre and performance hall. Any new lobby needs a clock to remind patrons of the curtain time. I figured what better design than to repurpose the old jambs into a School House Regulator clock reminding everyone what the building was and keeping with the design of the lobby.

As such, the clock is made from the pine jambs and some of the door stops. The dial face is tile.

I hope you enjoy as much as the Arts Center was in receiving this surprise gift.

That's a great looking clock! I like all the details you included in it, like the arts imagery for the hours, the Regulator look, and the salvaging of the old school's door jambs-very well done!

You really made a well thought out contribution to the Arts Center, and it's nice to know they appreciate it!
