Project Information

This is one of my early commissioned pieces. An architect wanted a desk for his wife, to be in a style similar to his own desk. He gave me drawings of a front, side, and top view to start from. I added my own design elements, such as the cherry banding, handles, and so forth and made the desk. The carcase is mainly veneered plywood. The tambour was a challenge to roll around a very sharp radius in the back, but everything worked out well.

very nice. I love those sculpted pulls. Say, what's that mouse hole on the back panel?
