Project Information

This was the first gig I have done making and using glued up solid wood panels. I made a few mistakes but made some very fine firewood.

I learned the hard way no matter how straight a boards seems to be you have to TRUE it up. I don't have a joiner so had to use a table saw and a known very flat and straight board to true them all up and that is a lot of work.

First time I ever used Biscuit joinery for the panels.

Its is all construction lumber UGH!

The Lower doors I plan to replace with raised panel doors soon as I can get the money to buy the router bits.

There is a light in the upper part of the stand controlled by a switch on the side.

I like it. I think you done did good. You're not going to find any new stands built as strong at a store.

I have used router bits from mlcs for raised panel doors and crown molding. They are not for every day door making but have worked for me. I've used them making at least a couple hundred doors and are ready for more.

I've used them making Maple, Oak, and Mdf doors.

Search them for "mitered door frame Router bits" to see what you can get for doors and drawer fronts.

Well I don't like fancy ogees and and fancy profiles. I want to get a SHAKER style panel router bit set for the lower doors.

All it time
