Thanks, It is a multi step process. You make the bentwood inner part first then make the outer part out of sandwiched wood wafers glued with epoxy. I use a hole saw to drill a plug out of the wafer and glue a dowel into the center hole of the plug. Then chuck that up in the drill press and hollow it out with the router to the same size and the bentwood center. Glue them together and then mill it. I cant describe it very well obviously. Once I post a video I will update the project posting with a link and that will explain it all. I basically played around and stubled on the fusion process. I should be done with the video in a day or so. you can subscribe to me on youtube. I am Selandry1

Very nice. I've made a couple of rings for my daughters out of some scraps, but without the bent lamination inner core they are way to fragile. I really look forward to your video showing how you make these.

These are seriously nice! I think I know what you are doing with the router. Have you considered maybe using a flush trim bit with an oversized ball bearing to eliminate any guesswork on the thickness of the ring?

That's a great idea. I try to make them 3/32 thick. Now I need a 7/32 bearing. I already have the 1/4 spiral flush trim bit that barely gets any use.
