Project Information

This is the second installment of my band woodburning series.(You can check out the first if you haven't yet)This focuses on an alternative rock band named Primus. You would usually exspect drums or lead guitar to be the backbone of the band, but Primus is an exception. The bass is the spine of this group. The bassest Les Claypool is know for his sense of humor and erratic behavior. He is an inspiration to bassests everywhere and even created his own genre funk metal. Primus sort of sounds similar to Rush and Pink Floyd. Songs I reccomend are Too many puppies, John the Fisherman, To defy the laws of tradition and Jerry was a racecar driver. Comments, ideas and questions welcome. Pat.

Teenagewoodworker, you kind of have to know Primus to appreciate Liam's comment…

It's been probably 15 years since the last Primus concert I went to, but typically the shows started with the crowd chanting "PRIMUS SUCKS!"

Nice work on the woodburning, and thanks for reminding me…

You see Denny I knew someone would bring up that old comment. Its Primus' catch phrase sort of how Iron Maiden's is come on your irons. Heck Claypool has it tattooed on the back of his head.

Les Claypool is the best bass player around these days. His solo work is even more interesting than his work in Primus. Nice burning work.
