Project Information

After a number of years of frustration with my Pottery Barn Eucalyptus Patio table constantly peeling and needing finished each year (sometimes twice), I decided to get ride of it and build my own. My goal was to build something that matched the style of our home, bringing the indoors out. I built this table to match the dining room table within the house - instead of a cherry top I used Cedar. Legs and support are painted black, the Cedar top is treated with Oil. I used the IPE OIL I had left over after treating my IPE deck. My goal was to create a table with as little maintanance as possible, so I'm hoping that the IPE OIL finish holds up. I will keep the group posted. If not, I'll most likely cover with Epithanes after a good sanding.
