Project Information

We made some simple bows and arrows this weekend while hanging outside and enjoying the sunshine together as a family.
The bows are branches from a Laurel hedge and they were carved with knives to make the bow. The arrows are dowels cut to length with the tips sanded to a dull point and the ends cut with a groove to engage the string. The "feathers" are card stock superglued on to help them fly straight.
These were simple and fun projects that are seeing a lot of use these last couple of days!

Thanks for looking!

great project!
I think I could do some of these with the kids in a year or two.

What kind of string did you use?

Thanks everyone for the comments!

gepatino- I don't know what kind of string it is, just string from HD or Lowes. I have had it for so long. It may be nylon string but don't hold me to it! ha
