Project Information

When doing shows, real estate is is in short supply. I needed a way to save room on the table and cutting boards take up a lot of space. So I built this rack to display some. It takes 6 boards up to 1 5/16" thick and breaks down for easy transport. There are no screws or clips, it just slips together. It's made of 1X4 pine and burnt for a rustic look. The finish is Coronado Aqua-plastic Urethane left over from a stair refinishing job I recently did.

Thanks guys. I wouldn't normally post something this simple and crude but I thought it might help somebody else with the same problem.

Just a side note, I forgot to mention in my initial blurb for this blog, the top 2 boards on the rack I made because of a request by someone at the last flea market I was at. She wanted a bigger board with a handle and grove, which I didn't know how to do. So I said "sure, I can do that". I saw it as a chance to buy new toys - I am now the proud owner of a template follower set :). The boards are maple and maple/jatoba and finished with Rustic Element Orange Wax.

This is exactly the idea I have been looking for! I make and sell cutting boards at craft fairs and need something to display them better. Just like you. Thanks
