Beautiful chest. Can you tell us why it's called a Yames chest?

I like this design, i might have to borrow a couple of elements of your creative design, fill free to borrow some of mine. I like the layout of the trays. Like PurpLev said, Very Crisp design. I thought of doing handles like this in my mind, but I thought they would look weak and out of place. They really work with your chest.

And very clean looking dovetails.

Thank you very much for the kind responses. to Tooch, I cut all my dovetails by hand, These were actually the first thru-dovetails I have cut in a while. I spend most of the time marking and laying out. Richard, and if there are any elements in this you want questions on, feel free to ask, thank you.

Magnificent joinery (and design, and chest). If I may ask, how did you cut your dovetails? I have yet to get the hang of it, but your work inspires! Beautiful work - thanks for sharing!

Thank you very much. To "Freddo", I cut them by hand, a simple wheel marking gauge, for depth and shoulders. I have a reclaimed swiss ,chip carving knife that I use for marking. I take my time and try my best , layout is most important. Thanks again and stay warm.
