Eagle statue

This eagle is part of St. John's statue from 17th century altar from Moravian village Dolní Dunajovice (Czech republic). Eagle's wings was lost and replaced with paper ones. When we removed the paper, some notes and music sheets was discovered in it. Schoolmate Petr did some research with professors from local university department of music history and they think it could be from year 1630. I made a right wing, left was made by next schoolmate. More photos later. :)

Frame

I'm continuing with restoring wih restoing of rococo frame. We are with schoolmate unbonding and removing glued parts because joints are broken. Frame is consisted of 3 layers. I will be difficult work. Also top part is missing so I have to find some similar design. Here are some photos.

Dominik,

What delicate work! That frame will be beautiful when you're done with it. Is it all wood or are some parts a plaster-like material? Will it be gilded in gold? What patience you must have!
