Project Information

The last thing I think of myself is an 'artist' but I made this simple wall hanging out of old weathered wood and milk paint and I'm calling it art (cut me some slack on that). Each board is screwed to a couple of metal straps that run vertically behind the piece. The dimensions are about 4'6" by 3'6". My wife loves it and thats all that matters.

" (cut me some slack on that). "

Are you kidding me? In a museum, they'd be asking hundreds of thousands ($$$$) for that thing! Isn't that what they call "Shabby Chic" now?

This is art, plain and simple. You may not think of yourself as an artist but this is definitely art. I think it looks good too. I do consider myself an artist so you get all the slack from me that you want.

It's true, you are an artist as the wall hanging could only have been captured by one!

I see art. Very well done! However, it's barn wood. Does your art include the aroma element? ;)

Beautiful piece! Definately "art!" I'm a newbie here on LJs and I may not know how to work with wood (yet), but art I know. I would hang this in my living room in a split second. To me, this is a comfy piece. Luv it.

It's art indeed! Love the colors and the distressed look, has so much character. Very pleasing to the eyes. Great job!
