Project Information

A present for my sister in law when we visit tomorrow.
I'm not much of a turner, but this Candy Dish was fun.
It was quick & easy, and with Florida in full "hot & humid season", that is a blessing.
The dish is made from Fur and is finished with spray Polyurethane.
The rings were created by burning with a braided wire.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Thanks Tony. That's a good idea about bringing it full. I'll have to see what I can do.

Finally, another great project from Eric! This is a very good looking dish. I just love it with those burn marks. It is graceful and elegant. And you say you're not much of a turner! BS! You're way too humble.

I'm very happy to contemplate another of your nice project my friend. Thanks for sharing the results of your talent and skills.

Best,

Serge

Eric, that dish has class! Just the right amount of embellishment. You are on a roll…..........

Here at the vacation house in Washington, a break after being on call for four days over the fourth. Not into the shop here yet, had to spray down the deck to get ready for wine and cheese!! Weather is wonderful here, low to mid 70's, blue sky, marvey…........

Eric, i can only echo the others on this project by saying you did a bang-up job. I too like the burned in rings it really sets the piece off. I have plenty of Fir trees on our place so I just might practice making a few bowls myself. Thanks for sharing.

I love the burn rings, such a great idea it adds so much depth. Makes me wonder what other items this technique can be used for, like burning a spiral into a post. So many ideas.

The rings really set it off. At first glance I thought it was a stack of perfectly matched bowls. Nice job!

This came out just beautifully! I also love the rings. It looks so elegant and the rings really set off the light wood. :)

Eric,
Love the clean, contemporary lines of this.
I especially like the "burned" lines… gives it texture too.
What a great gift.
