Project Information

This sculpted custom rocking chair is built from 2'' Canadian Black Walnut and a special piece of figured Birdseye Maple. This is a Medium version where we decided to lower the headrest 3''. I used a rare and beautiful piece of figured Birdseye Maple as the highlight on the front of the rocking chair.

Features
- beautiful Birdseye Maple form fitting flexible back braces
- coopered headrest
- exposed Maloof joinery
- hand carved seat, arms, and joints

As always thanks for having a look, feel so great having the honor of building these beautiful chairs for some wonderful people.

I have many build pictures of chairs and what not on my blog have a look

All of your rockers are beautiful and this one is no exception!

I just wish I could sit in one to see if they are as comfortable as they look.

Beautiful work. Outstanding craftsmanship. I think Sam Maloof would be proud of that one.
