Used a concrete saw to cut the trench out, then filled with concrete. It felt kinda funny talking on camera, a little uncomfortable unless I guess you do it a lot. But yeah- I missed the workbench. This was my 1st ever vid, maybe more to come.?
I sold my old craftsman jointer. Don't have one right now. I log, mill, and kiln dry all my hardwood lumber. I usually don't build with very long boards. The stanely No6 helps, and so does knowing the table saw and planer. ;)

Thanks for watching…I know its kinda long.

Nice shop, nice tour, James. I noticed the link belt on that fine old band saw. Do you run one of those on your table saw also? Just curious. Thnx in advance. You've got some really nice, vintage equipment, and storage cabinets. Look forward to your projects.

James, nice shop! I like the king-seely bandsaw, I have a model very, very similar if not the same. I appreciate your comments on the RAS, too. The dust collection set-up seems practical, no-nonsense. If I'd ever get there, yours is a system I'd aspire to.

Thanks for posting the shop tour!

The shop is set up to be as efficent as possible. Each machine has its own dedicated use- which makes it fast to turn out projects. Usually a week from rough lumber to finish product on something large (desks, cabs, etc). One of the draw backs is that i better be up early to brush snow off the cars or i'll hear about it all week. lol

I have a small area too. 16×16 is what I have. Several years ago I purchased a Shop Smith. It does a great job except much adjustment required on the table saw. Hope to get a large table saw some day. I did build my kitchen cabinets in mine thou. Just one cabinet at a time. I also had a radial arm saw. I sold. Wish I had it. Where do you store your lumber? I love your hardware storage area. I love every aspect of your shop.
