Project Information
I've been a "LumberJock" for 522 days now. Occasionally I get a little grief for NOT posting any projects. There is a good reason for this social faux pas (read: poor excuse), nothing I completed has been worthy. I have finally completed something in my shop that consitutes a "Finished Project", so here it is. Now I don't feel this is truely worthy, but I needed to post something!
This is a sled/jig for my cheap@$$ B&D bandsaw (a $10.00 purchase). It is a single purpose, one time use jig. It is designed to slice corks (from wine bottles) into little 1/4" disks. I used all scrap materials, why waste quality materials on a single use jig. I used 3/4" pvc electric conduit, (cut in half) to hold the corks, then screwed that to the "sled/fence" that was then attached to the miter gauge. There is even a stop block to get accurate repeatability. This really is a simple jig from a simpleton!!!
"Safety Alert!! Although one must consume wine to use the corks, you should sober up before operating the BS with this jig!!!
Now, no one can give me anymore grief for not having posted a project.
Thanks for looking, sorry I wasted your time!!!
