Project Information

My daughter went to dealers school to learn the ins, and outs of all the different casino card games. She's hopeing to become a dealer at one of the casino's in our area. So I've built her this table so she can practice on. The base is made of plywood it's made to resemble a trestle table all the joints are half lap finger joints, and it breaks down to lay flat, and fit in a closet. The top is padded with a felt finish, it has a padded rail on the front it is my first atempt at upholstry the felt was easy the padded rail was a wrestling match. Four dowel pins hold the top to the base and makes the table on solid unit, and prevents the top fron tipping. the poker chip tray is recessed into the top I made it on my drill press, two 2×4's clamped together face to face I drilled dowm the middle a series of 1 5/8" holes folded the pieces flat, and glued them togethe edge to edge then glued a border around the perimiter, than dadoed around the bottom edge witch fits into a recess in the top.
