Project Information

This is another project I made for my sister. This time she was expecting their second child and knew it was going to be a girl. I decided to surprise her with a jewelry/music box for her new daughter. The hardest part about this project was finding the music box with the little dancing ballerina. I looked all around and couldn't find the pieces I needed. I was basing this version off a cheap cardboard one I remembered my sister having when she was young so that gave me the brilliant idea of buying one of those and tearing it apart to get what I needed. Luckily they still make those cardboard jewelry boxes for little girls and they're cheap too! I ordered one and promptly destroyed it once it arrived. :) Fortunately it worked out great after drilling a couple of holes to get it mounted before assembling the box. Once it was done, we shipped it down to my sister and she cried when she opened it. (I think that was the first time I didn't get in trouble for making my sister cry.) ;-)

Nice looking box, looks like you've mastered the dreaded miters.
