Project Information

Boring, I know. I post it only because it was built with cedar fencing from Lowes. I think the whole table cost $20. It sits in a guest loft and hosts a monster of a computer. All powertools. A cool oak chair (that I didn't build) hangs out. So does a $10 shelving unit. Man, I'm lazy.

I was gonna give it a 10 'til I saw the wires hanging down. 9.9.

Ha! My man, Big Kev! How you been, brother? Yeah, I need to police up that driveway alarm cable. Like I said, though, I've got a serious case of the lazies. Stay well, my friend.

It's amazing what someone with talent can do with $20. It costs me that much round-trip to work every day! I'm doing well and hope the same for you.

Glad to hear it, Kev. My truck gets about 11mpg, so I feel you. Hang tough, brother.

Al, looks pretty good for $20. Actually, it looks good at any money.

I'll have to check for you, Stretch. It's a full tower with a home-cut window (Frozen). Notice the Apple logo on this i7;)

That sticker alone makes the project a 10 in my book! And simple projects, done well, are so good for the psyche too. (gotta get me one or two of those kinds of projects… :). ) Nice build, Al!

Now we know where you sit and play arround when you post.
On a wonderful chair at a wonderful table.
Not bad buddy.
Best thoughts,
Mads

Yeah August, once you use a fat rig with tons of video support, it's hard to go back. I've got two crossfired 58xx ATI's and it really screams on cast, photoshop, etc. I use my HTPC more for video editing out of convenience and the difference between it (Extreme Quad with 8GB RAM and 1 58xx ATI) and the big box is a really big difference.

August, I've got a Samsung LED TV that I really like. I've also got a big Vizio that I like almost as much (and it was about 1/2 the price of the Samsung. I use Viewsonics on my computers because I had a good experience with the company a long, long, time ago.
