So I know everyone out there has some of their own money saving tips and tricks. I thought I would try to share a few of the ones I use. This idea came to me today while wandering around one of my favorite stores, trying to find items to put in my discount shopping bag. I saw a package of plastic glue spreaders for sale for $3.50 (per 6), I have read of guys using old credit cards and such and I have a few of them in my box but the items I found that seems to work well serves two purposes ...

Just a quick update in regards to my last post. When my fellow LumberJock suggested I submit this tip to a magazine, I figured why not. So I submitted it to one of my favorites…. Woodsmith. Low and behold I was contacted a few days later and if you look at this months issue (which I just got in the mail today) you will see my tip :) Thanks for the encouragement David. CtL

Part 3: I can not believe some things that they sell

Ok, so I saw these things when they first came out maybe a year or so ago and could not believe that we have gotten so overly protective of our kids that we would rather buy them plastic and styrofoam then just give them some wood. I am a firm believer in teaching kids to be hands on, just see some of the pics of my daughter. But really if they are going to learn they should learn correctly.
