Location: Northern California

I live in a mountain community amongst tall conifers and am employed by the state as a land surveyor.
My wife and I just finished a two year long "extreme home makeover" type house remodel (with the help of a great contractor), dwelling most of the time in two bedrooms and the garage.
I have now set up shop in the reclaimed unheated garage and am starting to have some fun. I am new to woodworking and am having a great time teaching myself the basics with all the left over scrap.

Scott and Ron, Thanks for your comments. Projects are forth coming, been too cold lately. And Scott, I lived in Chico several years ago while attending the Police Academy, a whole career ago.
