Hello Everyone, I am 45 and Medically Retired from the Army. I needed a new hobby to get out of the chair. I thought I would take a crack at wood working. I have done some home remodeling on our home with my father-inlaw who is a jack of all trades. I love Craftsman Tools, so I am going to try to add to my Craftsman's as long as it is vintage. The new stuff isn't all great. I just got my 1st Radial Arm Saw. It is a 1963 Craftsman Model # 103.29310. I am want to learn a lot about wood working, because I want to be good at it one day.

Welcome to Lumber Jocks.

I’m retired Navy and retired postal letter carrier. Wood working is a great way or reason to get out of the house. Vintage tools is a great way to get started. Here in Indiana as they stop offering wood shop the schools are selling off everything. I’ve got some great buys. I’m sure Colorado is doing the same thing watch for the sales. I have my Granddads Craftsman table saw from the 50’s, needed to be rewired for safety works great.
Good luck on your woodworking.
