Location: San Francisco

I love to make things... I got an MFA in Metalsmithing at University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, and an MFA in Metalsmithing at Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills Michigan.

I started working with wood in graduate school and became smitten with it instantly. I've continued to make sculpture and mainly non functional work in hardwood. Most of my work is steam bent and / or laminated basswood.

I'm not a tool snob but I prefer to make quality (over quantity) purchases. I love taking apart an old tool knowing I'll find folks on Lumberjocks Forums who can get me out of a jam if I get stuck...

I work at an innovation / design firm in San Francisco. Our Chicago based company opened an office in the Bay so my wife and I jumped at an opportunity to check out the west coast. After sharing other people's woodshops I finally have a space to put together my own thing.

I just picked up a 1985 Delta 10 inch Tilting Arbor Contractor's Saw. I'm looking forward to finding some great tools to round out my practice, no hurry.
