ukulele-a-thon #5: Completed but not finished

I made the fretboard out of some maple I salvaged from a kitchen cabinet doors I brought home from work. Marking the frets was easy with some calipers and a chart I found on the internet, and I used a piece of plywood as a straight edge with a pull saw I have. The nut and bridge were also made from the same piece of maple. I decided to bolt the neck for added strength and ran into another mistake. Some bracing was in the way of the nut. After a bit of chisel work I had the neck bolted to the body and I can now say that I have “scalloped ” braces haha.
