I collect hobbies.
I've been a woodworker/tinkerer for over 30 years.
I've been brewing for over 16 (all-grain). I've played bagpipes, breathed fire, learned glass blowing and neon (stained glass too), all forms of home improvement (well, all but drywall, can't stand the stuff...oh, and I really suck at soldering copper water pipes). I can weld too...ok, it's not great, but I can do it. I paint, shoot photography and try other crafts as they interest me.

I believe that I need to try something once before I pay a professional. That said, I know my limits and am smart about that.

My latest obsession is turning. I just purchased a lathe and am having a great time building my own jigs & tools... and of course, making a huge pile of shavings.

I’ve been lurking around the site for a while and figured, it’s time to “set up shop”.
