On the 6th I had the privilege to meet Joanne Sauvageau And take her some large pieces of birch. On the 7th she left for the Woodturners Symposium in Kansas City pulling an enclosed trailer with her lathe and tools. All her art supplies that she uses to embellish her wood turnings. If you are at this event make sure to look her up, she has so much knowledge and expertise to share.
She also will be travelling on to participate in another learning experience. I had the privilege to look and hold many of her wood turnings. Her work is out of this world.

To make this trip possible she has asked for donations through Go Fund Me Take the time to go to this site and help her out with this journey. She will be doing a blog along the way so that should be very interesting, pat of the requirement for receiving funds. Lumberjocks is many woodworkers strong with good hearts and we all can show our support for this adventure. Lets see wave of donations that she can really surf on. Several other things you can do is to ask her to be a buddy and subscribe to her on facebook, allot of extra things and places she goes will be on there. Just message lumberjocks person to her and she will know you are important. I learned of other wood turners that she is visiting on the way with work equally as fantastic.
Another thing you need to check out is her web site, beautiful professionally done and you will get to see projects she has yet to post. Another thing I discovered on her website she has a You Tube channel. subscribe to it too.

She joined Lumberjocks not the long ago and is not that well known, so check what she has to offer, you will not be disappointed, and please send her a donation.

A couple of pictures, all smiles in her shop

hugging the wood I brought her. Wonder what beauty will be released from these blocks.

Thanks for looking, I am still inspired by the visit. Hope I got the links right,
