Ezee-Feed Manufacturing #2: Ezee-Feed Demo

12-13-2007 02:56 PM by David | 16 comments »

Click for Hi-Resolution Video Woodworkers throw away your roller stand once and for all! My last Ezee-Feed video was a bit of a teaser as I unpacked and started the installation process. Well I finally got the Ezee-Feed system installed on my saw. What a sweet accessory! I have a very small shop. This system allows me to cut sheets of plywood without any help. As a side note, my saw guard was left off for clarity while shooting the video . . . something I would not do on a regular ba...

Dovetailing a box

12-12-2007 06:05 AM by Alin Dobra | 34 comments »

Hello, In this blog I spend almost 40 minutes in four videos explaining how I cut dovetails. Since I give most of the explanations in the video, I will not repeat them in writing. There are multiple ways you can use these videos:1. See how somebody else is cutting dovetails and maybe get some idea how to improve your technique2. Learn how to cut dovetails from scratch3. Confirm some of the frustrations/solutions you have Use the comments to give extra hints or talk about what works/...

Cyber Interviews #1: Todd Clippinger - Episode #1

12-10-2007 10:56 PM by David | 14 comments »

Click HERE for Hi-Resolution Version This was posted this earlier on my blog The Folding Rule Show. The video highlights construction details of The Cooper House and some of Todd’s furniture. I just had the distinct pleasure of a cyber visit with Todd Clippinger, a talented designer and craftsman. I met Todd through one of the woodworking forums . . . well, the best woodworking forum; Lumberjocks.com! A first for me last night, but typical of Todd’s many talents and chara...

The making of a goblet

12-08-2007 05:45 PM by Alin Dobra | 17 comments »

A lot of LJs, after seeing my work, asked for a video demonstration of how to make a natural edge goblet. I posted on YouTube two videos (part 1 and 2). As it turns out, dealing with talking and camera while turning leads to loss of concentration. I managed to destroy the natural edge but I did get a goblet and you can see how I made it. Sorry for he slightly rough editing and not so perfect camera work (my father is still learning the craft). Alin Part 1 Part 2

12-05-2007 12:26 AM by Dick, & Barb Cain | 22 comments »

Hi!I have previously submitted a soundtrack of the Cain Guitar. The other day My Son brought over a DVD of a Graduation party. The father of the Graduate arranged to have music by a band made up of himself, playing the drums, & some other friends. They got together , & practiced a few times. It turned out really nice. My Granddaughter did the camera work on this, I think she did a fantastic job. I hope you all enjoy this.

Inspiring Young Woodworkers #1: A Special Gift from Charles Neil

11-26-2007 09:51 PM by David | 15 comments »

Click for Large Format Movie I just posted this on my woodworking blog and felt it was something important to share with my fellow Lumberjocks. I am sure many of us can remember middle school and high school woodshop. It is a sad state of affairs that industrial arts are being dropped due to budget constraints. It is up to each of us to help pass on the joy and traditions of woodworking. Those of you that have followed any of my entries on Lumberjocks.com, The Folding Rule Podcast or...

Lumber Making #9: The Second Half

11-26-2007 06:13 AM by Dorje | 15 comments »

At the end of this short video you’ll see me look up at Mike. If you listen closely you can hear the saw hit some more metal….... .... At some point after the next few cuts we hit our 3rd and 4th nails within the same board:........ But, look what we have here!........ Here’s a shot of the “scene” at this point (there’s a few board feet of sawdust):........ We’ll finish up the sawing in the next installment…We uncovered a real gem just a bit ...
