backyard deck #1: floor done---working on railings

Building a deck for my backyard. It had one on when we bought the place but it was very old and wobbly so we ripped it down. Fast forward 2 years and now we are putting up a new one. Decided to go with green treated wood primarily due to the cost and easy availability. I also had been making adirondack chairs and found out all of the cool colors they make stain in now! the deck is 13’x12’ this was also my first attempt at making stairs, only ruined one extra 2×12 :)...

First Adirondak Chair

I’ve almost finished my first adirondak chair. I had got 13 scrap (3ft long) pieces of treated deck planks and didn’t want to put them to waste. I cut and finished the back of the chair yesterday. I have cut out the seat area/legs, but have not put them together yet. The seat doesn’t run in the traditional way most of the chairs run, but I still think it looks good. Hopefully I will be able to get out to the shop later and finish it. I will be posting a picture when it is do...
