Wooden carpenters box

I have been working on a wooden carpenters style box for a few weeks now. Im trying to stay as close to the metal one im replacing cause of size/weight/ bulky issues. Originaly i wanted to use box joints but was unable with the stacked dadoe set i have. Looked into using router but by time i finally found a easy to make and understand jig i settled for what i know. Used screws w/dowel plugs. Just as well cause the amount of tools i plan on keeping in. Its been a little slow going but a great ...

I signed up for a furniture building school at the Dogwood Institute in Georgia. One thing they did when I signed up was give me a list of tools I needed. Most were things I didn’t have because I’m a noob and I don’t really have much in the way of hand tools. So, I got some. Another problem was bringing them to the class. Benchtop Tool Chest #1: Roughing it out

This is kind of random. I really want a small set of drawers on top of my bench for all the little stuff that accumulates. I want to make it attachable to the top and hang over the back by about a foot. This would allow me to remove it when needed and not take up too much space. Maybe it could attach using the dog holes, or maybe by some clamping fixture. Any ideas on this? I had built my bench with Douglas Fir 4×4s from Home Depot.
