Three drawer hall cerdenza #2: Determining how to detail the legs

For the better part of the last two weeks I’ve been attempting to determine how to apply a bead & set-back plane to the front legs, to look something like this: My first thought was to create the side beads the length of the leg, using a simple scratch stock.
