Its been a while since the previous post mostly because I wasn’t sure I was happy with the original design.
I went to the local lumber supplier that carries mahogany plywood and bought the 3/4” material for the carcass and baking. While there I had them cut the 1/2 full sheet to 2 halves (2 quarter sheets) so it’ll be easier for me to transport with my car (don’t have a large truck anymore).

As mentioned in a previous post, I was in the midst of planing quite a bit of hard maple, when my planer decided it was not hungry anymore, and would not feed the lumber under any circumstance – I tried the “here comes an airplane”... no go. I tried the “I’ll get you ice cream if you finish all the lumber” – nope. I tried “I’ll tell mama you didn’t finish your wood” – nada.

Today, Monday, I took photos of what I have accomplished on my Hymn Number Board that I am building for the St. Anthony Church in Strong City, KS.
On one hand, it seems like I made a lot of progress since my last blog late last week, but when I look back over the photos tonight, I can see that the number of hours it takes me to do this tedious work is mounting.
