Many moons ago, when my daughter was younger we chose not to buy a Cranky the Crane character for her wooden Thomas the Tank Engine set. We did get her the cargo crane, which kept her happy for many years. About a month ago I was asked by my daughter if I could build a Cranky the Crane if I saw a picture of it. I spent Memorial Day weekend breaking ground on the leveling part of this project. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get my hands on decent railroad ties until I had already spent the money on something less important like food. There are railroad ties a-plenty now, but I’m madly preparing for our new baby in the fall and haven’t considered getting back to work on this project yet.
I did, however, get some of the foundation laid with what ties I had and an order of 1 yd³ ...
