Where can you buy 1000 (full size) sheets of (nice, waterproof) sandpaper for $1.00? Those were the first things to go; I managed to grab 2 boxes in the frenzy, one box of 150 grit, one of 280… Need a sheet? let me know!
At 8:00 Saturday morning, Grizzly Industrial’s annual tent sale in Muncy PA opened their doors. I thought I would check this thing out, and actually got there 15 minutes early thinking I would take a look around before the crowds showed up at 10:00 or so…...

The PC 4216 came in last week. I was able to open it up yesterday and get started.
Looks like everything is here. Seems to be very well made…. like all of my PC equipment.
In about 20 minutes, I had it ready to make my first joint. I decided to attempt a half blind dovetail joint. This unit as an adjustable side stop and this allows you to get that classic half pin on each end of the joint on any size drawer side.

I was honored to be asked to create a box for my mother-in-law’s cremated remains as my first project using this jig. She passed away right before New Years and while we waited for the return of the remains, I was able to create the box using the jig.
Once again, the set up was easy. The joints were just tight enough to allow glue to swell the wood for an incredibly strong bond. This jig was a very helpful because I was under a tight schedule.

OK….. I pulled the trigger on the Porter Cable #4216 dovetail jig. I need it for the kitchen in the new house and I am up against a huge deadline. The few extra dollars I paid for this unit is for the templates included. Mini dovetails and box joints and a through dovetail and box joint jig.
Now, LJs, I have a Leigh D4R so I guess the question is, “Why in the world did you ‘downgrade’? Well, I have about 130 or so drawers to build. I am hoping this jig will speed up...

My mother is set to semi retire at the end of this month and requested assistance removing some items from her home in order to increase her ability to change locations more effectively.
Happy to assist and believed most of the items could be sold for an amount greater than the UHaul expense but was unfortunately incorrect on this.
Have began pulling them apart for their pieces and generally been fairly pleased… Working on a commissioned toy box and have found adequate Red Oak mat...

Was building a pergola in the back 40 for a Koi Pond.Mostly salvaged deck lumber.Was shooting 3” framing nails into the top when the gun slipped just a little.I could tell by the lack of recoil that something went wrong.As soon as I moved the gun and saw the ding in the side of the wood I knew what happened…the gun moved enough to shoot the nail past the wood, at about an 80 degree up angle.I counted to about 4, and heard the nail hit in the street on the other side of the block.S...
