Photos....Photos....Photos #1: Your vertical photos showing up horizontal on

02-05-2018 08:06 PM by Sawdustonmyshoulder | 2 comments »

I have seen lots of photos on that should be oriented vertical but appear horizontal. My photos taken vertical with my iPhone 7 Plus don’t appear correct on Lumberjocks for some reason that has escaped me. I have to open each one of the vertical photos and edit them with a slight cropping. Then, when I import them into LJ they appear correct. Hope this helps my fellow LJ’s with the severe crick in their necks.

10-27-2015 06:37 PM by Donna Menke | 5 comments »

At long last, my latest booklet, How to Make a Ball-Jointed Doll in Wood, is finished and available. After a year of trials and errors I have made a darn good set of plans and instructions for my 7” ball-jointed doll. The booklet is 48 pages long- more a mini-book than a booklet- and has 120 full-color step-by-step photos as well as 6 pages with full-sized plans and assembly diagrams. Go to my web site to order your download:

Hello LJ’ers,One week ago today I was picking up 2000 copies of my new book, Chip Carving Essentials, A Step-by-Step Guide to Successful Chip Carving. The finished product was boxed and ready to go! The pressman who ran my book was my first sale. He knew right away that his uncle would really enjoy this book. Garden Bench #1: Build Day 1

08-21-2011 08:16 AM by ChadR | 0 comments »

Today I started on my first project inside my new shed. It’s really is great to have a room filled with everything you need. I only have to turn around to grab my supplies. Everything went so smooth inside the work shed that I completed the frame to the bench in only and hour and a half. It went fast because of the new shed and also because I learned house to use cutlist wi...

Project 365 #1: worth 365,000 words?

01-03-2011 01:19 AM by scottb | 1 comment »

New year, new projects and new ways to share. Twitter updates from the computer and phone have already (slightly) increased the activity over at my blog. Now that Christmas is unwrapped, the ghosts of Christmas presents present may reveal themselves without being spoilers. So I finally have fodder, if not the time, for some real posts. But while you’re waiting for projects to be photographed and chronicled into the blogosphere, There is another bit of daily freshness in store. Head o...
