Whew! We made it, just in the nick of time! 10 minutes to midnight on Christmas Eve we put the last touchup paint on it in preparation for the big day. Spoiler: The boy LOVED it! :-)
Details:
Roof and floor: 1/4” plywood
Trim: 1/4” thick poplar that I sawed strips about the thickness of a popsicle stick with the bandsaw and glued on.
Walls: 1/2” thick plywood.
5 tiny hinges for the roof, wish they were white, but too lazy and not enough time to paint them.

After a few hiccups (including a very minor kickback accident—I’m OK, but it definitely hurt!) the toy machine shed is starting to come together. My husband cut out the tricky bits on the bandsaw while I did the sanding on the other parts. Last post someone shared a link with dollhouse parts, and whew! I’m glad I’m not making a dollhouse, my skills/time/patience aren’t to that level. ;-)

I just decided to take up wood working a little over a year ago due to health reasons. I could not continue with my past hobbies, so I decided to take up WW late in life. I know that I will never get the years of experience needed to accomplish what others do, but if I am having fun, so what? Fun is fun, at whatever level one is at. I work exclusively with pine or fir due to low cost and easy availability. I even use pocket hole screws, and pin nailers!
