Feeble Attempts at Humor #5: John Heisz Signs on for Some Torture

03-29-2016 07:17 PM by Dave Rutan | 9 comments »

View on YouTube A pared down portion of a recent video by John Heisz. Someone in the comments of his video suggested putting Yackety Sax behind the video. One section made me laugh harder than I have in a while, so I vowed to make what you see here to share. Apologies to John Heisz.

Hand Screw Clamp

02-14-2016 01:58 PM by yuridichesky | 10 comments »

His projects aren’t so much furniture as jigs, shop made tools and clever experiments involving woodworking and some metalwork. I like John’s no nonsense attitude to the grief he’s received from the YouTube trolls. He’s a fountain of information on thinking a process through and doing things i...

Router Table Re-do #3: The Router Lift

11-23-2013 10:52 PM by HuckD | 2 comments »

The router lift is finished. I used plans from John Heisz and they are just superb. The plans include detail drawings with dimensions for each part, good explanations for the assembly and a Sketchup file that allows you to explore the design and see how everything works together. The completed lift works very smoothly – I can’t wait to put it to use. First, some pictures of the lift before installation. It’s just sitting on top of my current router table. ...
