Isaac Youngs Clock #3: Pictures Round 2 - Lower Panel Door

The lower door construction is similar to the glass upper door, but it holds a thin 1/8” pine panel. For the panel, I ripped a 3/4” board with the hand saw and hand planed it down to 1/8” thickness. I got some exercise ripping the panel. Planing thin stock works best if you clamp it on the back end. I made it oversize and cut it down to the door frame. I glued it up with liquid hide glue and clamped it in a frame. ...

Isaac Youngs Clock #1: Starting my Holiday Project

I like to take some vacation during the holidays and I usually pick out a fun project, often without any need for the item. Such was the case this past holiday season.
