I joined the arm’s reach club a few years ago. I can read without need of glasses, but I have to keep my arm stretched out a bit to do so. Two things that I’ve found that help me immensely in the workshop are1) Bifocal safety glasses. 2) An inexpensive LED headlamp. One gives me better focus, the other gives me the light I need exactly where I need it. Before using them, I had trouble making out those dovetail layout lines. Now I don’t.
