I am in my early twenties just graduating college. In my spare time I have been fantasizing about woodworking through YouTube. I guess I started way back in boy scouts or cub scouts whittling little sticks with a knife. It shifted to various school and DIY projects through the years at home, using what I could find.
In middle school, we had a tech/wood shop where I made a CO2 powered car using a few hand tools. There were the kits every now and then for Christmas or birthday that had wood ...

My Amazing Dad and His Workshop
When I was a little girl, I loved to spend time with my father in his garage workshop. I would climb up onto one of our tall stools and watch him in rapt fascination while he repaired things around the house or built something new. I loved looking at all of his neatly organized shelves full of Gerber baby food jars and cans of Gerber formula, each re-purposed for screws, nails and a myriad of unidentifiable do-dads. Hello Lumberjocks my name is Shane and I live in Upstate NY. I was born and raised in the North Country, but have moved around a bit. Finally back home and looking to build my woodworking experience through different means from cabinetmaking, trim carpentry and framing. A wise man told me that regardless of what my goals were for carpentry it isn’t useless gaining experience in different forms. That the culmination of my experience will make me a knowledgable and well-rounded tradesman....
