Proper way to glue furniture parts

I’ve seen a lot of failed furniture joints in my furniture repair shop. I’m surprised how many people don’t know the fundamentals of how to properly glue up parts. I’ve seen finish in joints. I’ve seen joints with barely any glue in them. I’ve seen dowel joints with just glue at the bottom of the mortise. I put this video together to show how to properly glue up furniture joints. Fixing loose chair joints

I thought I’d share some knowledge on how to repair chairs properly. I’ve seen so many failed repairs, that I hope this helps people learn do fix chairs the right way. I’ve seen hot glue, screws, nails, and glue applied to the lip of joints – none of these work. I dedicated 20 minutes to show how to do this the right way. Chair Repair with Epoxy Glue & Vector Clamping
